Should we manufacture all our own stuff?
A discussion with venture capitalist Curt Roberts about deglobalization.
Lately, the US government has been like “maybe it’s kind of dangerous to make all of our stuff in China.”
With all the volatility going on over there, there has been a movement to not put all of our eggs in one basket. You know, just in case something bad happens in China and the whole US economy collapses as a result. Maybe we should make everything here instead?
So I asked Curt Roberts, a venture capitalist and general partner at Kickstart Fund, whether this is a trend he’s seeing with the companies in his portfolio, and whether it even makes sense to have every country make all of their own stuff.
Here is our discussion about deglobalization. Curt will also be joining us for further discourse in the comments!
