Grow your influence on Substack (a workshop!)
Plus an 8-week challenge to grow your newsletter community by 500 people.
I’ve had a lot invested in me over the last two years. I was named a Substack fellow in 2022, then last year I was a Roots of Progress fellow. Both programs mentored me, helped me become a stronger writer, and taught me how to expand my reach in the age of the internet.
But I am just one person among many incredible thinkers on this platform and there can be no doubt that if we want to raise up the next generation of thinkers we need to invest in them the same way, expanding our reach and influence on the internet. One way I’ve realized I can help with that is to share what I’ve learned so far about creating a literary community on Substack and building a readership here.
That’s why, next week, I’m going to host a two-hour workshop on how to build a community and following on Substack, followed by an eight-week challenge to increase your subscribers by 500 people. The workshop will include a 90-minute workshop followed by a 30-minute Q&A. The challenge will include weekly assignments and discussion threads with other participants, plus ongoing support in Substack Chat.
(Note: This will all be in addition to my usual content and only those who opt-in will receive the additional workshop & challenge emails!)
Join the workshop + 8-week challenge:
A two-hour workshop about growing your following on Substack (March 6th, 4-6pm MT—replay will be available!)
An eight-week challenge to grow your subscribers by 500 people (March 8th-April 26 with weekly assignments and discussion threads sent every Friday)
Ongoing support for one another in Substack Chat
I hope that by investing in and offering support for other writers we can kickstart a Renaissance of literary thinkers on Substack. Let’s expand our reach against a modern media system determined to focus only on the problems, and create a new ecosystem of writers dreaming up the solutions!!!!!! If we can change our media landscape, maybe we can inspire the next generation to be dreamers instead of doomers!
I hope you’ll join us.
