Just moved from SF to Victoria, BC. Sorry to miss the chance to meet you in SF, but if you are interested in learning what Canada may be getting right, am already plugged into a pretty active writing community there and some folks who know about local public policy. Thanks for all your explorations and ideas.
It's a great idea, I hope you will have many inspiring conversations & connections all around the world. Maybe share some highlights on your newsletter?
I signed up to the Tokyo gathering, of course. Looking forward to it!
I'm not too far from Auckland New Zealand, but unwilling to travel to the city, even for an Elysian picnic. If, however, you want to come to a popular surfing village about 2 hours south of Auckland. I often think, as I read your newsletters, that you would like it here in Raglan where I'm part of a really active community who are consciously building resilience together. If you time it right you could come along to our Crop Swap which has been held on the first and third Sundays every month for 8 years, about 50 people gather to share produce from our gardens and kitchens and socialize. No money is exchanged and guests are always welcome. Oh, and the beaches, kayaking on the harbour, bush walks, a lively village centre of cafes and shops and community spaces etc mean it's a pretty enticing place to invite Aucklanders and Hamiltonians to visit for a picnic in January, hint hint.
Oh that sounds lovely!!!!!! We are actually renting a van the next week to travel around and see a bit more, I'll see what it looks like to swing your way and I'll let you know if we wind up there!
If you find yourself in the Hub of the Universe this Spring, please join me in at the Boston Garden and cheer on the Celtics on their journey to win the 19th Banner that is their destiny.
We can also discuss the role of the philo-theological and human happines,
Ahhhh! We're still debating it. We want to see it but we also want to catch the tail end of the ski season in Japan. I'll definitely let you know if we wind up there!
Iām in San Francisco, would be interested in the June SF gathering
Itās happening!
