That is very perfectly said, and a perfect complement to this piece I think.

It is certainly true that starting out from a position of financial and emotional stability is preferable, and we should work toward achieving that for all of us. But I also don't want to tell anyone that if they are starting out from a position of financial or emotional instability, that they don't stand a chance or that they can't do any of the things I've done. There are many examples we can look to that show that is not the case.

I hate the narrative that says "you are privileged so you can do that and I am not so I can't." I do not think it is that black and white and I think we have more power to change that narrative than we think!
