There's an amazing amount of serious arts and crafts going on now. Much of it is inside the semi-closed worlds of gaming and anime, where real historical research informs stories and images. No art at all is happening in the "formal" art and "classical" music areas. There's no point in trying to reinvigorate those zones, basically dead for 100 years.
