Thanks for the shoutout! I love the idea of these prompts. it pushes me creatively and I Iove reading other people's takes on the prompts. All in one place!

I published a short piece I wrote for this prompt, but after reading it a few times, I think I missed the mark. It's dark and depressing for a Utopian publication. Apologies

And more importantly Happy holidays everyone!

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but I will happily jump in to shamelessly plug my novel. The main conflict is between a group of people who uploaded their minds to a server and a group of purists who strongly oppose uploading in the name of “human purity.” The climax happens during the “Purity Festival,” the isolationists’ annual celebration of keeping themselves free of “corrupt” technology.

Thanks for the shoutout, loving these prompts. Great pieces of fiction from all. I'll fathom a future holy day/holiday/celebration for sure.

Just as I have decided that I wouldn't write on more prompts you come up with this one, and my brain has already written the title. Darn it! Thanks for the inspiration and the mentions, Elle.

Love this. Maybe it will be a holiday from our phones and we will all turn off the entire internet for one week every year. That would be a good holiday for the immediate future.

So into this. Are you going to write it????

Maybe, and I’ll make it take place in the future when Elon Musk’s and Grime’s son X is the ruler of the whole world and can shut it all down. As it would likely take a dictator in control of all comms to make this holiday possible.

Wonder what day it would be, maybe the anniversary of the invention of Facebook lol. That was Feb 4, 2004, so almost 20 years ago. Prob time for a big break.

I wish there was soon a future in which we could celebrate the arrival on Mars and the discovery of new intelligent life forms with which we could collaborate in the exploration of the Universe

Elle, thanks for your comment. When I start writing, I know that the story is already in my head. I just keep looking for it, but I never know how it will end. I only find out myself at the end. But you gave me an idea, and maybe I'll look for the end of this story.
