This could be our future
Collaborative print pamphlets exploring utopian futures.
Hi, I’m Elle Griffin. I write the Elysian, a newsletter exploring utopian futures.
I believe our governments, economies, and technologies should work for our benefit, and I explore that the way visionary thinkers always have: Through essay collections and print pamphlets.
Paid subscribers get every essay collection I publish online. Collectors get every series as collectable print pamphlets—about 4-6 each year. Join us to get the next one. 👇🏼
Here are a few recent collections
MANIFESTO
The Elysian is a media collective exploring utopian futures, now we have a manifesto! Ten essays that explore the seminal philosophy of my work.
LET CITIES BUILD UTOPIA
Let Cities Build Utopia is a long-form series exploring cities that work in the interest of residents—not just private property developers or faraway national governments.
WE SHOULD OWN THE ECONOMY
This is the online manuscript for We Should Own The Economy, my book-in-progress about the future of capitalism. Chapters are published as I write them—here's the book so far.
I hope you’ll subscribe to the Elysian to get our next collection when it debuts 👇🏻
Thanks for reading!

Fantastic! Many thanks for doing this. What a great feeling it must be to take stock. I’m coming up on 100 subscribers, with minimal promotion (only so much time in a day). When I can really focus on that, your resources and wisdom will be invaluable.
Hi hi ! Thank you for all the valuable tips and tools. I drifted into Substack by chance and drifted into sharing work that I’ve been hoarding / hiding quite organically only to find that so many many other writers here were too. I’ve found that “passing the parcel” this way - whether I am the giver or receiver - has been so fulfilling. Umbilical severance! Floating babies ! Looking forward to applying some of your insights to see if I can make this thing grow! Even if just to find The Others. That would be reward enough, scribbling in the dark as I have all these years! Thanks again.
