Here's my submission:

I really liked this writing prompt! I've been wanting to talk about this broader vision of what communal living could look like, but have been going back and forth on how to structure a post on it.

Not sure if you looked for satire, but here's my submission:

----

Is violence needed for a radically different world?

I wrote a satire on violence as the answer to our climate crisis or any other injustice in the world. It’s a reaction to reading the cli-fi book The Ministry for the Future. But it can be applied to any other current or past real life situation. Satirically, of course.

I never thought I’d write satire but when you grapple with issues larger than yourself and you don’t know the right answer to solving them, satire appears to be a good outlet to vent some steam and highlight the absurdity of the world in which we live.

I actually don't think your piece is that satirical! I've been thinking a lot about it in the wake of Luigi Mangione shooting a CEO and actually causing Healthcare executives to meet about reform strategies. Like The Ministry for the Future might not be recommending this as a strategy, but people are so fed up they are willing to undertake that strategy on their own. And as we can see, there are a lot of supporters of that strategy......

Ohhh, love this prompt. I might write a few answers in a little mini-series.

Like what we need more of politically, economically, lifewise, etc etc. As a little 500 word essay per topic.

Love this prompt. I’ve been reading a few what now posts and agree that simply writing is not enough. One of the ideas that’s interesting me is the power of local community level action and the ripple effects (if any) they might bring. My world revolves around food and some ideas Im pondering on is what might happen if we all went back to seasonal based eating only. Or the role community cooking might have on poverty and homelessness at a local level

I loved this post, I feel this same sort of anguish. A kind of "what can we actually do about any of it." Writing through the ideas helps!
